Case Update: 4 of 7 murder suspects now in custody

Shamar Mobley, 20, has been arrested and faces Armed Robbery and First-Degree Murder charges in connection with a shooting on January 23, 2023. Mobley, who was arrested the night of the shooting, was initially facing drug-related charges, and released on bond on January 24.

On January 23, multiple suspects arrived at a residence in the 100 block of 10th Avenue W. to commit an armed robbery. During the robbery, the suspects shot more than 60 times, striking three victims. One of the victims, a 23-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries on January 31. The victims’ identities are not being released per Marsy’s Law.  

As a result of Bradenton Police Detectives’ investigation, the following individuals have either been arrested or have active warrants for Armed Robbery and First-Degree Murder: 

  • Tyreak Allen, 20  (IN CUSTODY)

  • Kevion Brooks, 22 (IN CUSTODY)

  • Jerome Williams, 20 (IN CUSTODY)

  • Shamar Mobley, 20 (IN CUSTODY)

  • Kobe Brooks, 19

  • Dorian Brooks, 24

  • Mekha Booker, 17
