UPDATE: Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputies located Gerardo Aguilar and arrested him without incident late last night in Gibsonton, FL. He is currently held at the Hillsborough County Jail pending extradition to Manatee County.
On July 18th, 2019, at approximately 2:17 PM, Bradenton PD received a 911 call reporting a man needed medical attention for unknown injuries. Arriving Officers and Emergency Medical personnel found the victim, a 37-year-old Bradenton resident, with two gunshot wounds. He was transported to the Blake Trauma Unit, where he underwent surgery and is currently in critical but stable condition.
Detectives were able to identify two suspects in this case, Apolino Aguilar and Gerardo Aguilar. Apolino Aguilar, 23 of Bradenton, was located last evening and arrested without incident. Gerardo has not been found and a warrant for Attempted Murder has been issued. At this time, Gerardo Aguilar is considered armed and dangerous. If anyone knows of his whereabouts, please call 911.
Apolino Aguilar was charged with Attempted Murder and Home Invasion Robbery. He is currently being held without bond at the Manatee County Jail.
