Today marks the retirement of Lieutenant James Racky, who retires after 24 years of incredibly dedicated service to this city. We are incredibly thankful to Lt. Racky for everything he's done for this department and for his brothers and sisters in blue.

Some special remarks from Lt. Racky:
"I want to take a minute and thank everyone that I have worked with over the last 24 years.  All of my co workers, partners and chain of command. I have learned something from many of you and I hope I have been able to have an effect on you as well. I consider all of you a second family as I have spent more time with most of you that I have with my immediate family. I have spent the last 24 years of my life working to defend the citizens of this great city and I would do it all over again. I pray that all of you will continue to stay safe and watch over each other in the years to come."
